Kodiak mirror question June 23, 2008, 05:42:06 pm Yahoo Message Number: 1329I find that I have a hard time seeing as much as I would like in mypassenger side rear view mirror. I seem to recall hearing that for'08 the mirrors were extended.I haven't been able to find anything on this. I am wondering if thisis so, and if so, how hard it would be to "upgrade" to newer mirrors.Anyone know anything about this? Quote Selected

So my guess is they are the same as onthe previous years.Craig Quote Selected

I had the same problem and when I took it into a GMC Medium Duty Truck dealer who is also a Workhorse dealer I asked how I could adjust the mirror. To my amazement (and feelings of stupidity) you just move the black arm. Sure had me fooled in that I thought it was not flexible.Don Quote Selected

They have a detent where they aremeant to stay but I moved mine forward a bit to position it out alittle farther. It helps but still it could be better.Craig Quote Selected

Iam not very tall and that complicates the view. Not so much I can'tuse the mirror, but I would like a more unobstructed view. I knew themirror moved because I moved it hoping to find more detents. If the mirror will stay in place without being in a detent that mayhelp the situation enough. Basically, it isn't a critical issue, butif the '08 mirrors were better and an easy swap, I thought I might doit. I like to have as clear a view as possible into that lane to theright. Looks like the mirrors are the same in '08.**FWIW, I mentioned this to my dealer and he didn't know anything butsaid he had "heard" that in some states the mirrors did not meet somesafety requirement and had to be modified or replaced. He didn't knowif this was true, or if so, in what states. I haven't called Jayco orinquired further. Quote Selected
