Brackets are in the mail

Yahoo Message Number: 5050
I mailed all of the Norcold reinforcement brackets this morning. It will
be interesting to see how long they take from Plattsburgh, NY to all
over the country. Shipped first class in padded envelopes.

I had enough to cover all the requests including the guys who said
theirs weren't broken, but wanted one if I had enough.

The guy at Norcold really did us a favor on this one. He also slipped a
note in the box with the official part numbers that have been assigned
so if anyone calls Norcold, they should be able to give them the
numbers. Here they are:

Right hand bracket: Norcold part #633591

Left hand bracket: Norcold part #633590

Hopefully I didn't miss anyone, I checked my list several times.

Take care,
Greg

I meant to mention that each envelope has an instruction sheet with the
washer taped to it, be sure to install the washer. If you lose it, it
appears to be a standard 1/4 steel washer.

Take care,
Greg

I've passed on our eternal thanks for making this happen. He really is
frustrated by the screw up on Norcold's part even though it's not even
in his area. He's a QC engineer and could see right away that it was a
bad idea, then he was further frustrated by the stupid way Norcold was
dealing with it.

Funny thing is before I left home the other day, I got an "offer" from
Thetford to buy an extended warranty on my fridge :-)It's about the same
as buying a new door once a year - go figure :-)

Well back to the boonies and no internet connection.

Take care,
Greg

Dane, didn't have you on the list but if you'll give me an address and if it's left or right hand hinge, I've got a couple left.

Take care,
Greg

Is that whining I hear? Yes, it went out yesterday. I even had to do the
little custom form, but don't worry, I just listed it as 6 ounces of
cocaine with zero value since it was sent as a gift, I don't think
you'll have a problem :-)

Actually I sent it as warranty parts with no value so it shouldn't trip
you up on your end.

Take care,
Greg

Gee, that is a big disappointment. I thought for sure you'd deliver it to Florida in November. :)

Thanks Greg

I would have loved to, but it would have been December if we make it
down this year. Hopefully we'll do Christmas in Titusville, but Kathy's
work schedule is in flux right now so we're waiting....and waiting to
see what time she'll have.

Take care,
Greg

Sorry about that. My Blackberry was responding on its own while playing with the keys and change in my pocket.

No problem, I have a friend with a Blackberry that likes to make random
phone calls from his pocket :-) I've been in on some interesting sales
calls he's made :-)

Take care,
Greg

Ah, the delights of returning home, like plowing through the 4 months of stacked mail, but wait -
Your package was a bright spot.
Thank you so much, and congratulations on your well deserved founder's award

Glad it made it to you alright. It will only take a minute to install
and nobody has reported any trouble.

I know the feeling, but we've gone in for a penny, in for a pound and
just loaded it as we always have and so far I've bounced it 6000 miles
without another break. I think my wife is really being a bit more
careful, but not much :-)

I finally got to my mail and there was the bracket.. It took me all of 3-4 mins to install the bracket. Thanks for all you have done. I see that you are in NC and I am way out west. If ever you are out my way (St. George, Ut) PM me and I'll try to get even.

Great, glad to hear it went well. So far nobody has reported any
problems with the install. I just hope it works for a long time, so far
mine has held up well.

Will do. We went to UT for the first time last year and fell in love
with it so we intend to go back. We spent our time in Moab and did the
parks there, but still need to see Bryce Canyon and some other areas.
Really a beautiful area.

Take care,
Greg

I may be the last to have done the install ;-)

First impression - that door is HEAVYwithout anything in it. How does it look with the petrified wood panel removed?

Greg - thanks for the pictures and the easy installation instructions - and taping the washer to the instructions!

For any of you that are procrastinating takes 5 minutes tops.

Thank you again.

Well you can't rush into these things :-) Just think if Don had
installed his right away, he would have had to remove it when he traded
for the new one so he'd have it for that fridge :-)

I don't know, but you are right about the weight. I'd love to have a
plastic insert that just looked like wood.

My pleasure. I was afraid if I didn't tape them to the sheet, they'd all
get lost :-)
