diesel particulate filter

Yahoo Message Number: 1098
Sorry to change the subject but I was wondering if anyone has a 07-08
kodiak Diesel with the exaust particulate filter that regenerates its
self? I have an 08 Kodiak and the filter regen. light on the dash
seems to come on quite often.(every couple hundred miles) Seems a
little too often but this is the first rig I have had with this
system. Just wondering if anyone else has one and how often theirs
cycles on? ? ? ?

Thanks for the help,

Cliff

I have an 07 with the filter and it will cycle often, so I doubt every 200 miles is a problem. Be sure it has the exhaust tip cooler installed and avoid contact with the exhaust when it has been cycling. It is VERY HOT!

I have an 08 and the light does come on fairly often, but knowing what
it is, I don't give it much thought. I don't know if mine comes on
every couple hundred miles, thinking it's longer than that.
