GM plant closing announcement - KODIAK plant in Mexico closing by en

GM's Rick Wagoner just stated that GM is closing four plants and one of them is the Mexican plant that builds the Kodiak. It is to be shut by the end of 2008 (subject to demand issues). He did not mention the TOP KICK however but one would assume both are made at the same plants, like Suburban/Yukon XL and Tahoe/Yukon.

The Kodiak and TopKick are also assembled in Flint.

Wagoner made no mention of the deal with Navistar - has it been done? Anyone know?

The Flint newspaper carried this note in early May:
