Does anyone have thoughts regarding a Hayden auxuarlly transmission cooler? I too seem to run hot when towing up steep (6 percent and up) grades in California. I have a Fourwinds 34H w/gas engine.

Not sure that a additional auxiliary trans cooler will help. My Kodiak has the aux trans cooler. Temperature runs very close to engine temperature.

I'm surprised that trans temps are running so high. When I'm cruising I'm barely over 150 only when I'm stopping and going or in an area that there is a lot of shifting will it get to 180 or so. I run at about 186-192 for engine cruising and get up to 215-220 during steep hill climbs. My fan starts kicking in around 205 and greater.
