This message is for Ron Hall, but will probably be of interest to
others. Ron you can get the Onan 185-7444 oil filters from PPL Motor
Homes in Houston Texas.

You will have call them to order the filters because they are not
listed on the website, but they are easy to deal with. I believe they
charged me $18.95 for the filters, the price is not on the packing
slip. Like you I tried calling Onan-Cummings with no success, but
evidently they do exist because the ones that I got through PPL were
shipped to me from Cummings in Arlington Tx.
I saw the posts on RV-Net about using longer filters that the
185-7444, but I don't think there's any way to put a longer filter in
that space.

Thanks Pat.
I found this thread on RV.NET
http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/20374078/gotomsg/20374212.cfm#20374212 (http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/20374078/gotomsg/20374212.cfm#20374212)
It list several filters that will fit the QD 7500. Uses same filter
number as the 5500. I have purchased a Delco filter from the list. But
have not tried it yet. $18.95 for a oil filter that is in a green box
is way to much money. Will report back when I get the oil changed.
