Removing Dinette in a Jaco 33DS

Yahoo Message Number: 335
Has anyone done this?
I would like to remove it and put in a couple recliners but I see a few
issues:
Removing the bolts for the seat belt frames. They come up through the
slideout floor.
Looks like the electrical for the fridge comes in under the seat plus
the electrical outlet under the seat.
Carpet is cut for the seatbelt frame.
and it appears the backrests are fastened somehow to the walls

Any ideas here would be appreciated. It may end up just leaving well
enough alone.

Thanks,

Doug

We removed the couch from our MH. Left the dinette. But somethings are
similar. Removed the seatbelt bolts and put carriage bolts in place.
Left one seat belt in to hold the recliner in place while traveling.
Since we left the dinette had to put a molding on wall to support back
of dinette seat. Are you sure there is no carpeting under dinette.
This may be a good thing. Just install some wood like flooring or re
carpet the whole area. This will cover the seatbelt holes. Be sure to
seal holes from below slide.
Getting recliners to fit into a MH can be a problem. A couple of good
choices are the metal frame type you find in many stores or a lazyboy.
Look for something that is 28" wide and can be taken apart to get
threw MH door.
The electrical wires can be run threw some plastic conduit that is
made for attaching to a wall or floor. I go mine from Home Depot.
When we removed the couch/hide-a-bed it had to be disassembled in
order to get it out of MH. Ended up just trashing it by the time is
was completely out. If you intend to sell MH someday be sure you are
prepared to put dinette back in. May be hard to sell without it. I
figure we will need to buy a new couch to replace the one we took out.
