Jayco 33DS Floppy Water Pipes February 03, 2008, 09:17:50 pm Yahoo Message Number: 541The Jayco 33DS water hose plumbing is, for the most part, exposedunderneath the coach. I think this is the case with all of theGreyhawk/Kodiak models (don't know anout the Senecas). The pipes underour coach are free to vibrate and flop around which I'm sure they dowhile traveling. Also in at least one case there are pipes laying looseacross a metal strut. I have uploaded a picture of this in the photossection.Anyway... I can think of several approaches to remedying this situationbut thought I'd ask you folks if any of you had already dealth withthis and/or had suggestions. BTW... I think I recall reading (maybe onRVNet) where someone had sprayed foam sealant around his pipes to sortof hold them in place. Thanks, Bill Quote Selected

I had a couple of water lines flopping around in that compartment as well. I used pipe insulation (long pieces with slits) that I got at Home Depot and some garbage bag ties and they don't bounce much now. I'll try to remember to take a photo and post it.Perhaps what we should do when we post photos is also post a link to them so people don't have to go and search. I'll try it with your water line photos.Donhttp://autos.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/KodiakChassisClassC/photos/view/2eaf?b=8&m=s&o=0On 3-Feb-08, at 9:17 PM, berfle624 wrote: Quote Selected

I used theround foam tube insulation in a bunch of places. I put it around allthe lines near the water pump and the manifold, and everywhereunderneath that two pipes touched or rested on anything metal. Ialso used it in the area of the water heater and heater. Basically, anywhere a water pipe could vibrate or rattle, I put the foaminsulation around it.MikeQuoteThe propane tank for the 32SS is on the curb side.
