Strange or Normal?

Yahoo Message Number: 1250
I was checking my Seneca Kodiak build codes above the drivers visor and
found some interesting stuff about my chassis. I have a 2008 Jayco
35GS that was built in 2/08. The chassis was built in 10/07.
According to the codes mine has the 19,000lb rear springs but only a
15,000lb axle. I guess the springs were added to carry the weight
better but the axle was enough to drive the weight? Anyone noticed
this before? I may have one of the newer ones here on the forum.
Thanks. We sure enjoy reading about the Kodiaks here. Hope we got a
good one! Deb and Mike

Deb and Mike my 08 36FS is the same. The rear end is good for the maximum Gross Vehicle Weight of 22,000lbs. 15,000 rear and 7,000 front. The 19,000lb springs are on because the old 15,000lb one they used to put on were running close to their maximum weight all the time which made the sping not so effective. With a 14,000lb load on a 19,000lb spring there is lots of spring left in it. If you check you may notice that you have an 8,000lb (FSN) front suspention as well but, the front will have an 8,000lb (FM8) front axle. I`ll leave that for someone else to explain. You should also see a GW2 that is the sales package that Jayco has spec`d out for the Seneca now. just a thought for what its worth.
