Diesel Performance Module

Has anyone tried the diesel performance module from US Diesel Chips> I
am told it really boosts the milage on the Duramax to about 13mpg. It
does not interact with the engine computer so no warranty issue. I
have ordered one and will test it soon to see if it really does what it
says. Anyway if you do not see improvement it is guaranteed for one
year. Dane

Many of the performance upgrades made for a pickup Duramax will not
work on the Kodiak MD engines. Hope you specifically ordered it for
your model truck.
Most popular power upgrade on diesel place for the MD truck is
EFILive. PPE also makes one that works.

Ron: I hope the guy who sold it to me knew the difference as I told
him it was a 5500 on a Kodiak chassis. Will have to wait and see but
according to usdiesel web site it looks pretty easy and does not
register or use the on board computer so no warranty issues. Dane

So how did the chip work?

Dane: I don't know anything about the US Diesel chips. We run a "Bully dog" program and use the trailer tow economy program this adds 40 additional HP. When we use the chip we get 12.5 to 13.0 MPG and this is towing a Honda Pilot. Without the program we get a real constant 9.5 to 10.0. It's also a code reader in case you need to read any code's that might be in the system. It' s easy to load and unload and you get good company support with upgrade's supported by the internet.
