Today's fix-its May 05, 2008, 01:32:38 pm Yahoo Message Number: 1027Attachments :I spent the morning over at the storage place getting some jobs donethat I've been waiting to do. I did these photos in order, but I seethat now they're arranged numerically so the before and afters are a bitout of order. The first order of business was mounting the eye bolts for theProtect-a-Tow. They include all the hardware, but as I started drillingthe holes I just couldn't bring myself not to use stainless steelhardware.....call me anal. Off to the hardware store and $13 later I hadall the stainless hardware I needed. The biggest problem with theinstallation is not being able to get your fingers or hands in betweenthe back of the motorhome and the inside of the bumper. This means usingall sorts of remote holders and such. Naturally magnets don't work on SSso that was out. It was an exercise in patience only because the effortof using things to reach inside the bumper....drop something....fish itout....start over...repeat.The motorhome is ready so now it's only a matter of going over to thedealership that is working on my car and mounting the two that go intothe fairing under the front bumper. I have a loaner just like it and itshould be easy....except the loaner doesn't have fog lights and minedoes which looks like it will make the installation difficult as theywill be in the way. The fabric you see on the back of the motorhome isloose because it's not attached to the car, once that's attached thebungees will tighten it up.Next was the matter of multiple wires and plugs that just dangled underthe frame of the coach. It was driving me nuts so I crawled under thereto tie them up.The water lines for the low point drains in the kitchen are what you seelying on the frame around the propane tank. They just laid therebouncing on the frame and lower than the drain end of the line so theydidn't really drain completely. This is just plain shoddy work onJayco's part, sorta like those open holes in the floor. Anyway, a bit ofinsulation around the corners and a wire tie took them up to a framemember and more in line. The only other job on today's list was to lower the arms of the awningso it wasn't straight out when extended. That was an easy job and is nowmuch more effective.Take care, Greg Quote Selected

If it's too much trouble don't worry about it.I don't have the "Daily Digest" option set so pics imbedded withinmessages do not show up when looking them via the Yahoo group messageboard. Probably other folks unable to see them also. Thanks, Bill Quote Selected
