3. Pulling the AC Power June 12, 2011, 11:25:30 pm Yahoo Message Number: 7155Installing the power socketI got some 2 wire AC cable (has two AC lines & Ground (14/2 NM - B)).I threaded this through some Ultratite Non-Metal Flexible Conduit. This conduit is great for this application because it is watertight, weather resistant, and works across a wide temperature range.I ran the conduit from the rear bin to the forward bin via the passenger side chassis channel. Unfortunately this is close to the Exhaust system, so take care to put the conduit behind any heat shields, and in the upper cable channel.Light gray flexible conduit runI then drilled a ¾ inch hole in the forward bin and terminated the conduit into it:Ultratite Conduit and front bin terminationNow I am ready to mount the front socket for the battery minder and other use. This is on the GFCI circuit. Here is the forward socket mounted next to the Battery Minder:Forward Socket for Battery MinderI tapped into the GFCI circuit in the rear bin and terminated the flexible conduit there.New GFCI socket and junction box for Liquitite ConduitWell that is about it. After a months use I have not seen the circuit breaker trip, and the battery voltages have been good.As always - suggestions for improvement welcome.Kevin (Real) McCoy [KF5FUZ / WQJE447]("Roscoe Ventura" Jayco Seneca HD SS 34 Diesel 2006; "Toad" Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2007) Quote Selected
