Mine doesn't fall into the recall but I will look to see that I don't have this recalled unit. Just thought that I should pass this on.Denny Forwarded message From: OWEN THOMASowlenthom@...>Date: Mon, Nov 12, 2012 at 10:43 AMSubject: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/cs/jaxrs/download/doc/UCM425842/RCRIT-12V347-8523.pdfTo: Dennis Bradford brad1454@...>http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/cs/jaxrs/download/doc/UCM425842/RCRIT-12V347-8523.pdf Quote Selected

From my understanding problem is that installed wires to and from transfer switch were not tightened properly. Causing wires to get hot and melt the insulation. Why replace transfer switch if all that is needed is proper tightening of wires under terminals?BestRon Hall Quote Selected

IOTA no longer makes transfer switches. From: KodiakChassisClassC@yahoogroups.com [mailto:KodiakChassisClassC@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of ronjhallsrSent: Monday, November 12, 2012 3:44 PMTo: KodiakChassisClassC@yahoogroups.comSubject: [KodiakChassisClassC] Re: Fwd: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/cs/jaxrs/download/doc/UCM425842/RCRIT-12V347-8523.pdfI still do not understand what the reason for replacement is.
