New Model from Jayco

Yahoo Message Number: 358
During a visit this week with our dealer, who is one of the senior
Jayco dealers, he shared with us that Jayco is coming out with a new
model based on a Freightliner chassis that will directly compete with
the Dynamax line. He said he thought it would be 40 feet. They were
supposed to have one at the Louisville (?) show, but that they
didn't, due to some components not being available to construct the
coach. Said it would retail for around 200,000, which would be
maybe a 100 or 150 thou below a comparable Dynamax.

He also said that Jayco is selling all the Kodiacs they can make.
Said that the reason they quit selling Greyhawk was that Kodiak
chassis were at such a premium, that they went with what was selling,
diesels over gassers.

Looks like we have a winner on our hands!

Leaving in three weeks for Mid-Texas for Jan-March

As much as we love our Seneca, I may be first or second in line for a
Dynamax type Jayco, if it's right and has the right features.

Thanks for the information. I hope it turns out to be correct
information. I have thought all along that there was some other
reason that Jayco quit making the Kodiak Greyhawk. I think it is a
well built unit and has less "issues" than other Kodiak based C's. I
have a 32SS and am well pleased with it. It handles good and has a
good CCC figure. I am surprised (a little) that with the price of
Diesel, they are selling so many they would drop the gas burner line
on the Kodiak. I do have a few "problems" with my Greyhawk, but
nothing major and I am glad I got one before Jayco quit production.
