New Model from Jayco December 27, 2007, 08:59:43 pm Yahoo Message Number: 358During a visit this week with our dealer, who is one of the seniorJayco dealers, he shared with us that Jayco is coming out with a newmodel based on a Freightliner chassis that will directly compete withthe Dynamax line. He said he thought it would be 40 feet. They weresupposed to have one at the Louisville (?) show, but that theydidn't, due to some components not being available to construct thecoach. Said it would retail for around 200,000, which would bemaybe a 100 or 150 thou below a comparable Dynamax. He also said that Jayco is selling all the Kodiacs they can make.Said that the reason they quit selling Greyhawk was that Kodiakchassis were at such a premium, that they went with what was selling, diesels over gassers.Looks like we have a winner on our hands!Jim Bob and Miss Bette06 Seneca 34SSLeaving in three weeks for Mid-Texas for Jan-MarchAs much as we love our Seneca, I may be first or second in line for aDynamax type Jayco, if it's right and has the right features. I hope it turns out to be correctinformation. I have thought all along that there was some otherreason that Jayco quit making the Kodiak Greyhawk. I think it is awell built unit and has less "issues" than other Kodiak based C's. Ihave a 32SS and am well pleased with it. It handles good and has agood CCC figure. I am surprised (a little) that with the price ofDiesel, they are selling so many they would drop the gas burner lineon the Kodiak. I do have a few "problems" with my Greyhawk, butnothing major and I am glad I got one before Jayco quit production.Mike Quote Selected
