The last time, I bought a new door handle and didn't need itbecause it was just the screw coming loose. I can't remember all thedetails, but here is a conversation from the archives last year thatdiscussed the same problem. I'm going to be doing mine again andhopefully will remember how I did it as I go. I know I tore up my armson sharp things inside the door as I stuffed my hands in to do things. It's a pain in the neck, I do remember that. I tried to get photos ofthe inside of the door with my phone, but it didn't work.Read thru this batch of messages and you'll get some idea what you'relooking for:Good luck, GregRic NHave a 2006 Kodiak (07 Jayco 33DS) subject linkage has fallen apartthree times in two years. It might be assembled wrong. I wouldcompare it to the other door.DanJoseph Marinello23 Apr, 2012Hello, I had that problem of the passanger door not opening also. I havetried to 'fix' it twice, then finally got it to stay fixed. The screw on the linkage had not completely come off, so that was agood thing. I notice the last time I was fixing it and screwed the screwin, just using the handle to open the door made the screw turncounterclockwise. So every opening loosened the screw just a bit.All I did was to spray the screw with WD 40. That prevented thescrew from turning and stayed tight.JoeFrom: Ric N To: KodiakChassisClassC@yahoogroups.comSent: Monday, April 23, 2012 3:39 PMSubject: [KodiakChassisClassC] Passenger door handle linkageHave a 2006 Kodiak (07 Jayco 33DS) subject linkage has fallen apartthree times in two years. There is aplastic rectangle that can be removed to access the bottom of the doorand that is where I put a light to shine up to the linkageI almost drilled a 1/4" hole at the screw/linkage inside panel height toaide in the screw tightening, but did not have to.That might have to be done(hole) to get the screw back into the linkage.A plastic cap can then be put on the door to cover the hole if it looks bad.I would take a look at the driver door, so you can see what the linkageis supposed to look like.Ric, hope this helps, Joe Quote Selected
Re: Passenger Door Handle inoperative Reply #3 – September 11, 2013, 10:48:25 pm Yahoo Message Number: 11825we had the damn thing break internally. You can get the parts and DIY, but be careful how you take the door panel off, it's easy to break the tiny little cheap ass clips. And you get to work blind, which is always fun.Morrigan Quote Selected
