Information on Seneca 08 Diesel

Just a note to inform you of some information that happened to me this
past week on a trip. I went into limp mode with all power going out in
the middle of a busy highway with the engine light and low coolant
level light on. I managed to get off the road and checked the coolant
and it was just above the low mark which seemed strange that a unit
would completely shut down which is a real safety issue. Anyway I
limped to a Wal-Mart and added coolant to the full level and did not
have any further issues.

Just a real scare and seems to me overkill to shut off the entire
system when the coolant level is just a little low. Anyway some of you
may already know this and I recommend taking a jug of GM recommended
coolant with you.

I agree. What is the point of the idiot light if the thing is going to go into limp mode as soon as it comes on. It should give you an opportunity to fix the problem without risking your life (or anybody elses).
