Do the rest of you with the duramax find it spits a fair amount of black soot splatter out if your at idle or just moving it around at low speed? My exhaust has a downward angled tip and I get black spots all over the driveway.

I do not have a down turned exhaust tip, but when idling inside my storage tent, I notice black on the inside wall. My Yanmar engined John Deere backhoe also leaves black marks on the loader arm when positioned inline with the exhaust. I'm thinking its a diesel thing, but I have no idea.
