Kodiak/Duramax sound dampening

For any Kodiak chassis with the Duramax engine, has anyone done any modifications to the engine compartment (or otherwise) to dampen the engine noises? On the flats, the noises aren't bad at all...but climbing steeper, long grades when the turbo kicks in or downhill when the exhaust brake is utilized, the noise is quite loud. Any thoughts? Pictures?

On my International chassis, I put the sound deadening material on the floor and firewall. See link here with pics and explanation. Same principle can be applied to your Kodiak chassis.

BTW, just got home from a 2100 mile round trip and I can say the improvement was great. I still plan to do the doors, but for now the floor and firewall improvements are substantial; not sedan quiet, but a big improvement. Terry

Thanks for the link and information. Sounds like a great project. My diesel is noisy up front for sure.
