On the trek from folsom ca to yellowstone yesterday, a strange
Thing happened about halfway thru Nevada.
The fuel and temp gauges pegged out at the max end
at the same time. I had filled up so I knew the fuel level
and also have a scangage, so I knew the engine temp.

Both gauges went completely off the charts on the high end.
Im thinking something happened to the electric actuators in the
dash panel. Eventually, the gas gauge started to behave better but the
Temp did not.

Anyone else experience this on their kodiaks? Mine's a 2004 gas
on an '05 Endura 6340. Great weather here in YNP and I even get
A little 3G signal!

Any info apprrciated. Thx

Dave...

I have. Same model but a diesel. Should not make a difference. First thing I did was replace gauge cluster. This solved the problem for a while. Had the same problem again this last winter. Replaced chassis battery and problem went away. Make sure you have a good ground connection on battery and frame also.
If the battery does not solve problem. Then check out gauge cluster. It is a common thing for stepper motors for gauges to fail.
Some times it is as simple as making sure you have a good connection on connector that is under dash near end of steering column.
