I am looking to get a scangauge for the motorhome, I already have one in my jeep but I am not sure which one I need. Do I need to get the diesel version or is the scangauge II good enough?

After looking at the Diesel version on there site, it will not work with our motorhome. It plugs into a 6 or 9 pin round connector.

Just get a ScanGuage II. They were on sale at CW cheap too.

Get a Scangauge II. Our Medium Duty Trucks do have the round connector for the Diesel Version. But the II will work very well. Lots of info on how to program it.
