Greyhawk 32SS owners September 21, 2007, 10:23:51 am Yahoo Message Number: 69My Jayco manual says that "in some models the sink in the lavatorydrains into the black tank." What they don't say is WHICH models .Does anyone know if the sink in the 32SS drains into the black tank? Our first MH was a Class A Triple E Commander and the sink in it drainedinto the black tank. Given the tank sizes I think it is good idea.I sent Jayco a note a few days ago asking this question but have notheard back as yet.Don Quote Selected

When our tanksfrand lines froze last winter in Park City, UT the dump valve on thegray tank froze. To make a long story short, when we couldn't dumpthe gray tank, both sinks and the shower both backed up.Regards, Rich Panganiban., "Donald A. Re: Greyhawk 32SS owners Reply #2 – September 21, 2007, 11:39:26 am Yahoo Message Number: 71 Thanks Rich. I suspected that but to this point had no way of checking.I didn't realize you'd joined the group. Given I approve all applicants I must have been sleeping that day. I think of you periodically because I'm still using your 32SS scale weights. I add on for the second A/C and rear TV and then for the 3 of us and our "stuff". I hope to get ours on a scale soon.Have you weighed yours again? If you have, or if anyone else has their weights it might be helpful to all if they were posted here with an indication of the load (amount of fuel, water and waste tank levels, people, and "stuff").Hope you are still having a good experience with your 32SS. We are using ours much more than we used our two previous monsters and are enjoying it a lot. Haven't towed the Tahoe but figure we'd better get it out on the road to test it before we go to Florida. Sure wish I had an exhaust brake though. I put a ScanGauge on and found it useful.Donrmpvegas wrote: Quote Selected

Does not make sense to me. Since the shower drain runsunder the sink cabinet to get to the gray tank., "rmpvegas" wrote: Quote Selected
Greyhawk 32SS Reply #4 – September 22, 2007, 01:48:37 pm Yahoo Message Number: 94A week ago I checked the Jayco web site to see what they said forexternal storage for the Greyhawk for 2008. For the 2007 model it had119 cu ft. I found it rather strange that for 2008 it said TBD.I just checked the Jayco web site and the 32SS and 33DS have beenremoved. No more Greyhawk on Kodiak. So, that raises the question - atemporary halt i production or a complete termination? It is not unlike Jayco to drop a line unexpectedly if it is not sellingwell (frankly I would have thought this line would sell well - guessI'd never have made it in marketing). You may recall that Jayco gotinto manufacturing Class A's and that didn't even go 2 years and itdropped the line.Anyway, that is my surprise for today. Now I may have an orphan andI've only had it for four months.Don Quote Selected

So, that raises the question - atemporary halt i production or a complete termination? It's my understanding from talking to David (my dealer) and "Ben" at thefactory that it is a complete drop of the gas Kodial line of Greyhawks. No explanation other than David saying they just haven't sold well.QuoteAnyway, that is my surprise for today. Now I may have an orphan andI've only had it for four months.Cheer up, I've bought an orphan that I haven't even picked up yet.I did give this some thought though as I got the info before I decidedto finalize this deal. I was able to get a very good deal on the coachand it has the two year warranty. I never would have made it in saleseither because I really think this is a good floor plan. They arecontinuing the Kodiak diesel chassis at Jayco, but I guess it's theSeneca line. David told me that he found when people got into thatKodiak Greyhawk level of spending they were willing to go with theSeneca line and have the extras. Looking at the two I found that the bigjump financially to the Seneca made it out of reach for me and it was asignificant leap. It seems by dropping this line they'll force people togo to Four Winds for similar construction and features in that price range.Take care, Greg Quote Selected
Re: Greyhawk 32SS Reply #7 – September 23, 2007, 12:02:10 pm Yahoo Message Number: 99 Brilliant - a reply with nothing. I clicked the wrong button for some reason and a lengthy message evaporated. I like to clip the incoming email when responding to save those from a lot of extra stuff if they get the digest). But then those who get individual emails have to go back to often. Just got my prior and I did allow for photos to be sent - but those who get the daily digest DO NOT get the attachments. The 2008 32SS and 33DS are in Jayco's discontinued section of its archives now. They show the 32SS for 2008 as 33 ft 5 inches long???I found the press release when they dropped the Firenza and Avatar Class A's in their second year - just not enough sales volume to keep the line going. I guess same for the 32SS an 33DS and they want to use the line for more Senecas. BUT we bought our Kodiak Greyhawk for two reasons. First, we wanted to downsize from 40 ft 10 inches - and the Seneca models are longer than we wanted. Second, we wanted to be able to tow a Tahoe (as stupid as that may be) and the Senecas can't do that unless running virtually empty since GCWR-GVWR is only 4,000 lbs (compared with 26,000-195,000 for 6500 lbs for the Greyhawk). So, we would not have purchased a Jayco without the 32SS being available. Here is the announcement when they got out of Class A's after less than 2 years: Quote Selected
