Re: dash light question? Reply #1 – April 17, 2011, 07:17:19 pm Yahoo Message Number: 6836Time to change oil. When you get that done. You will need to clear the light. You will find the procedure in your owners manual. How to Reset the Engine Oil Life SystemThe Engine Oil Life System calculates when to change the engine oil and filter based on vehicle use. Whenever the oil is changed, reset the system so it can calculate when the next oil change is required. If a situation occurs where oil is changed prior to a change engine oil light being turned on, reset the system. To reset the Engine Oil Life System:Turn the ignition key to ON/RUN with the engine off.Fully press and release the accelerator pedal slowly three times within five seconds. If the change engine oil light is turned off, the system is resetting.Turn the key to OFF.If the change engine oil light comes back on when the vehicle is started, the Engine Oil Life System has not reset. Repeat the procedure.BestRon Hall Quote Selected

Re: dash light question? Reply #7 – April 19, 2011, 05:01:46 am Yahoo Message Number: 6863The generator is a different story. I change oil & filter in it every other year. Most of the hours on mine are running it every month to keep it running properly when I need it.BestRon Hall Quote Selected
