Onan generator in my Endura smokes severely. Diesel ghenerator, smokes with or without the air filter gets plenty of air. Line of reasoning was the smoke is grey/white and wreaks of diesel. Air does'nt appear to be the problem. Full tank, worked fine days earlier.
Is there a fuel/pressure regulator I don't see, could the fuel filter cause the problem? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Could be fuel filter. Mine puts out white smoke until it has warmed up. Even in warm weather.

If the engine is warmed up and it is still smoking it could be a bad injector, out of time, or even low compression. If the smoke only occurs until it warms up it could be a glow plug issue.

When I fueled up started it and let it run both A/Cs all the way home. Smoking was slight, shut down let cool still smoked. BAD
