Ron,

Thanks for the links - PPL seems to have quite a bit more "stuff" than
Camping World! Did some cogitatin' on how to "re-engineer" this wiper/seal
configuration - original (at least on my coach) was totally unsatisfactory -
light-gauge aluminum flashing appeared to be hand-cut to sorta'-kinda' fit
the openings - four separate pieces (not a straight cut anywhere), and the
felt wiper wasn't even screwed down under the flashing - was "glued-on" over
it. I found a source for 1" x 3/16" x 8' roll of felt; will get a couple -
now I'll try to find a satisfactory aluminum extrusion in which to insert
the felt and screw it all down to the steel - with a stand-off sufficient to
prevent it from being pinched between the bottom of the slide and the steel
angle. Tried to find a rubber blade or bulb gasket (automotive) that
wouldn't get pinched, but I kept going back to the felt as probably the best
solution. Hunting for extrusion will give the front of my thighs time to
recover from the "duck-walk" I was doing for a couple-three hours under the
slideout...I'm getting too old for this kind of stuff...but I'm cheap labor.

BTW - the Equalizer guys are great! Last year I replaced the hydraulic
cylinder on the L-R slide - (rod rusted, and O-ring damaged - drifted out),
and put "anti-creep" valves on both cylinders; friendly Equalizer tech's
provided telcon support - absent written instructions for valves.

I look in my PPL catalog. They have some items. But not for bottom of slide.
Slide mechanism was made by Equalizer Systems. They have many parts listed
under support.

PPL is a good place to go, luckily I am able to drive over to get what I need.

Here is how I compare PPL and Campingworld. If you just bought a camper and you need to outfit it with all of the needed items and accessories go to Camping World. If your camper is broke and you need parts go to PPL. If you need additional help call the PPL parts number and ask for Earl.

The felt came off on one end of my slide opening some time ago. I used some contact cement to glue it in place. Still in place several years later.
