Transmission cooler

Has anyone put a larger transmission cooler on their C5500? I have a 10 mile hill over here in Vantage Washington and when the temp outside is up in the 90's as it was last weekend my transmission will warm up and spit fluid out of the breather. I changed the fluid out about 2 years ago and don't think I over filled it as the fluid level checks out fine when hot or cold. any ideas would be helpful.

thanks

If I remember correctly there was an issue with the dipstick being slightly mis-marked. I had the same issue and can't recall where the Allison tech me to keep it when filling the trany.

Oil level on dip stick should be checked when oil is 160°. Reading on dipstick should be at low end of hi/low markings. Good luck getting oil to 160 degrees.

Here is Diesel Place thread on trans oil level.
ALLISON DEEP PAN FLUID LEVELS

Mine is at bottom on cold marking when cold. You probably have to much oil in your transmission. Which puts oil into moving parts of the transmission. This causes it to foam.
