Help! been following email but first time reaching out. My steering pump and hydroboost are getting really hot to the touch! how can I figure out what the issue is without throwing parts at it? So far I have flushed and changed filter, no help. It is affecting the brakes as heat transfer to master cylinder. I'm lost and so are the 2 or 3 mechanics I've taken it to. Thank you
p.s. only 58,000 miles on the duramax, love the coach. Any one had this issue?
Greg

Haven't checked the steering circuit, sounds like fluid heating because of a relief valve cracking open or by passing fluid over steering valving.
It's just a guess.

I have never had that problem. But I would be concerned about power steering also. If you have good power steering. Then I would check to see why hydroboost is alway running to make it hot. Maybe a bad brake switch?
