suspension & air lift kit

Yahoo Message Number: 2230
I just got my RV back from having an RSS anti-sway bar installed in the front, along with an air lift kit in the back and oh what a difference. No more rocking back and forth on those country roads. With the lift kit, all I need to do is push a button on the dash to raise the rear end. No more bottoming out!! :) Tara

Also interested in the brand of airbags. I am taking my Four Winds Chateau 34G to a suspension specialist this thursday to get an opinion. I will report back what he recommends. I initially called him about the Superspring, but he said there may be better options.

Roger,

when I spoke with Henderson's Lineup in Grants Pass, Ore, he mentioned air bags that do not sit rigt on top of the springs... apparently they can be mounted outside of the springs for a wider footprint and better stability.

Thanks Denny,

I'll be sure to bring this up when the tech is inspecting my RV. I'll try to post here before I make any decisions on which products I'm going to go with. Any advice others have had to learn from is greatly appreciated.

Dealer told me that they had put airbags on Seneca and customer's did not like and recommended Super Springs. I put Super Springs on and they do a good job and did not make the ride any harder. Really tough to get them on. No way could I do it, CW could not do it, suspension shop could not do it and finally Super Springs hooked me up with shop that got them on. Super Springs paperwork said one number but when I called them they recommended another. I think it was 17s.

The shop I'm going to said the supersprings worked as advertised, but since they are always under a load, they tend to lose effectiveness after 2-3 years. He said they simply start to wear out. He claimed there is nothing wrong with them at all, it's just for a little more money he said there might be a better option. I'll get his version of what I should do, then run it by the list here to see if you folks have been told anythong different.

Yes, I have a 35' Gulfstream Endura. Camping World installed the
Air Lift Air Springs $379. with a Load Controller 1 OnBoard Air
Compressor Control System $319. The Roadmaster Anti-sway bar for the
front was around $900. The whole job was about $1900.
