Covers for our Kodiaks

Anybody gotten a cover for their rig? I had one for my trailers, but
none of the ones I've seen listed for Adco, etc show them fitting a super C.

Take care,
Greg

I have a CalMark semi custom cover for my Kodiak. It is made out of Sunbrella. A picture is here. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/ronjhall/PICT0026.jpg
It is not cheap but has worked for 3 years now. One more trip and it's time to put it back on.
Here is a link to CalMark. http://www.calmarkcovers.com/index.html

Thanks Ron, I just sent them an email for information and checked out
the site. It looks like it fits your rig nicely. Can't say I recognize
that white stuff on the ground though......we try not to let the ground
turn that color her in NC :-) I really do want the sun protection though.

Take care,
Greg

Greg, are you on the CW mailing list (maybe a dumb question since I
thought the entire world is).

Yup, that's what triggered my memory that I still haven't bought a cover
for it. I looked at the Adco ad and was wondering what anyone here had
done since nobody references the super C's.

I finally got ours back from the dealer working of the list of warranty
issues before it ran out on the 21st. It'll probably fall apart now :-)

I've got to replace some screws in the top rail under the rubber strip,
I'm getting some rusty heads again. I did some before and replaced them
with stainless and filled each hole with sealant before replacing the
screws. I should have done them all and didn't. It's on my list of fall
"to do's" now that it's back from the dealer.

Take care,
Greg

Forgot to mention I checked out the CW ad and for the class C they don't
go any longer than 32 ft. If I recall, the bumper to bumper length of
the 32SS is close to 34 ft.

Take care,
Greg

Hmmm. On the way to FLA I'll drop in and you can check mine and replace them if necessary.

I have to say I don't really like having the MH stored several miles away. When it sat on a concrete pad behind the house connected to 50 AMP it was so much easier to address issues like this.

I have a 200 ft tape measure and when I measured over two years ago I think 32.5 ft seemed bang on. I'll try to remember to check it again on Wednesday when we park it in the driveway.

Another problem with the ADCO Class C covers. They do not allow for the extra height of the Super C's. A Class A cover would be OK except for the extra material because the is no cab in the hood area.

I'm 34' Bumper to bumper on my Ultra. I've been debating whether to rent an indoor storage unit through the winter or not. I had an ADCO cover I kept on my travel trailer. I know there is a lot of opinions on whether to cover them or not. Good for the UV protection but we get a good amount of wind where I'm at so I don't know how I feel about the cover blowing against the unit all winter long.

A number of years ago someone on RV.net pointed out what in his opinion was the best way to store a MH for the winter.

I have to say I agree with his opinion.

"You take your motorhome along with your spouse and yourself to Florida (or Arizona or Texas) and don't return until late April. We've followed that religiously except DW insists we return mid April. :)

We take ours this weekend and return the following weekend as we are going to Australia and New Zealand for about 50 days and don't want to have to winterize it now or drive it down in snow/rain/ice in early January.

I had one custom made from Sunbrella fabric. Ordered through Camping World I believe. They have one for the Seneca GS. It is made in California and was about 1K plus shipping. You will need to talk to the factory.
