Basement Storage Tube

Hello Again,
I'm wanting to install a 6" PVC tube in one of the compartments. I want it to hold items like a fire tripod, flag pole, fire poker, etc...
It will be about 6' long and have threaded plugs on each end.
I'm just not sure on how to secure it. The basement walls seem to be kind of flimsy.
Just wondering if anybody else has done this or have ideas to secure the tube?

How about hanging it from the floor? What kind of weight are you talking about?

I think it would be to much to screw it to the floor. I don't think I can bolt it because of the slides but I'll check it out.
