Has anyone done this? I hate the fact that there is still 5 or so gallons of water left in the fresh water tank after draining, because it leads to bacteria build up and makes winterizing more difficult. Has anyone else installed a bottom drain of some sort?

Mine has no where close to 5 gallons. I use jacks to raise rear of MH. This pushes water to valve end of tank. Using rear jacks again I raise passenger side of MH to make water move toward valve. This leaves less than 1/2 gallon in tank. It does take awhile for water to drain.

The best way I have found to drain the tank is open the drain valve then turn on the pump- with everything else closed the water drains quick and almost dry
