Kodiak Gauge Cluster February 28, 2011, 10:42:20 am Yahoo Message Number: 6499Hey gang, Have any of you had your Gauge Cluster fail yet? If so, did you have it repaired/replaced by the dealer, or use one of the rebuilding services like one of those on Ebay? What was the cost? Thanks, Bill Quote Selected
Re: Kodiak Gauge Cluster Reply #1 – February 28, 2011, 05:27:34 pm Yahoo Message Number: 6503There are several places to get a gauge cluster repaired. Check EBAY. I hope I never need one. But did luck out finding a new one that sets in my shop just in case. The stepper motors go out. They can be purchased cheap off EBAY. There is a repair procedure on DP.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=203522Even though I did this kind of work for a living. I would probably send it out for the repairs. There is a good one in Flint, MI that specializes in the C4500-5500 clusters. http://www.usspeedo.com/It is where I got my spare cluster.BestRon Hall Quote Selected
Re: Kodiak Gauge Cluster Reply #2 – March 03, 2011, 10:38:05 am Yahoo Message Number: 6508Thanks Ron.I did some looking at some of the rebuilding web-sites, and one of them mentioned that if you have less then 70k miles, it might be covered under warrenty. So I contacted my buddy at the dealership, and he said that he should be able to get it covered. We'll see, I will take it in to the dealer next week. If they do not cover it, I will get it rebuilt elsewhere.I will post what happens. Thanks again, Bill Quote Selected
