Title: Optional TV for Jayco model number?

Does anyone know what the make and model number is for the optional
bedroom TV in an 07 Jayco 33DS or similar? The TV was an option on my
MSRP sheet but was not included in the coach. Dealer doesn't know what
happened to it but is willing to give me $175 towards buying a new
one. I'm thinking the original TV intended for the 16X16 opening will
give the best OEM finish. Another option would be to buy an LCD and
mount with an arm to the back of the cabinet. More then likely, the
LCD TV will not fit into the square cabinet however, it could rest up
against the face.

Any help would be appreciated

Ron

It is a silver 14 inch CRT type. I wish they'd already gone to LCD which I'd much rather have - also to save weight.

If you want I'll take a look at the set and get the make tomorrow. I "think" it is RCA. No, wait, it might be Sony. No, that would be too expensive for Jayco :). Ah shucks, sometimers set in and this time I can't remember. We had 2 RCA in our Ambassador, one RCA and one Sony in the Winnie, and two Panasonic in the Triple E. The front LCD in our 32SS is Westinghouse.

You can get the list price from the attached price list for the Greyhawk and options.

Ron, I don't know the CRT model, but I would go with an LCD slightly larger than the opening. Not only will you get a bigger (less trim around the screen) and better picture, you will save weight and be able to tilt the screen for the best view, when in use. I have a Sharp Aquos in the 4:3 format that has a great, vibrant picture.

Craig, I agree LCD would be better. Do you happen to have pictures of how you mounted yours? Any additional details would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ron

The list on my 32SS is for $250 and the TV that came with it is a
Toshiba 14" CRT type.

Take care,
Greg

Ron, my Sharp Aquos is mounted on an articulated arm in our home. Our Seneca came with a Toshiba CRT TV so I didn't have the opportunity that you do, to upgrade to an LCD in the bedroom.
The LCD installation was very straight forwarded took me about 20 minutes. The wall end of the arm has 4 wood screws (You may want to bolt it through the cabinet panel) and the TV end is a standard VESA bracket that mounts to the TV with 4 machine screws. If memory serves, I determined the position of the arm bracket that attaches to the wall, marked and predrilled the holes into the wall, but did not attach the bracket. Next, I mounted the arm to the TV, extended the arm to a fully perpendicular position, which allowed me to reach past the TV and screw the bracket into the predrilled holes. Voila! From there it was just a matter of attaching the power and coax, and pushing the screen back to cover the arm and adjusting the tilt as desired.
Hope that helps. Good luck.
