LED Journey Summary:

For those of you on this journey, let me summarize my previous posts and let you see the short list of winners. If you want to see the contenders see my previous posts on LED and power. Victor, let us know how your supplier works out.

In my investigation the winners were:
922/921 Replacement - http://superlumination.com/ 9 and 18 LED cool white. Brilliant outside - This suggestion came from Craig, and they are a great vendor. These are working out great, draw little power and the 18 LED is brighter than 922 or even 921s. A 921 17.9W, 922 11.8W, 18 LED 2.64W, 9 LED 0.63W

921-Replacement-options.jpg

891 Halogen - 6 LED warm white - http://superlumination.com/ Measured savings 9.954 Watts for 891 and Replacement LED 0.756 Watts. I love that they generate no detectable heat.
891-Replacement.jpg

1383 Over Bed Light - Warm White no-lens 3W from http://Safetybulbs.com. It may be located under the term "elevator". No heat and DW prefers warm white in the bedroom.A tad expensive but after 4 bulbs (see previous post) I just did it.

The contenders. JPG

The winner - 3W "elevator" LED 2nd from left
2099 Desk / Vanity Bayonet bulb - Ron turned me onto "tuningpro" 1156 Replacement available on ebay. And this worked better than anything I tried.I am typing under these right now. Good price too. Like all of Ron's suggestions, very frugal.
Tuningpro inexpensive lamps. JPG
For saving measurements, and rejected vendors see my previous posts. Your audience may care less about warm VS cold white, and cold white is brighter generally and (cheaper) less expensive. Too soon to say how the longevity of these bulbs are - but so far across all the vendors I have had no infant failures or bulb replacements - YET!

I would say that I learned very fast not to buy LEDs though any RV source unless you are trying to put their kids though college.

I did not replace lights that I do not use normally. I did not mess with the fluorescents since they do a pretty good job when we are on power, and I just do not use them when we are in boondocking mode!

Hope that helps.

    To All
EBAY prices have dropped on LED's lately. Also some new models out there. Do a search. If you need some help will be glad to search out your needs if you give me the type bulb you are looking for.

I saw this video on RV.net Blog. It reminded me of Kevin's (must be the hat) experience with LED's.

We like our LED's and the low energy use. Also have one of these motion sensor porch lights with 200 Lumens LED bulb.
