Generator and Inverter run concurrrently

Yahoo Message Number: 6305
Can I run both the generator and the inverter concurrently.

I currently shut down the gen.then turn on inverter for late night viewing, but when I do this I lose the DIRECT TV link and it takes a few minutes to re-establish this link.

Yes no problem at all. I do it a lot. Sometimes when I switch from my 8k Onan to a little Honda EU2000 I turn the inverter on first for the same reason of not losing Direct TV.
