Bounce rubber ball how to remove

I am trying to install the helper springs myself.
The rubber ball needs to be removed, any suggestion how?
I can fit a socket wrench in there , how have you done it?
Do I need a rachet wrench?size? It is not easy to reach and I can not see it either only by touching with fingers I am trying to figure out.

I have an extra set of Helwig Helper Springs in the Denver area if anyone is interested or needs them. They are off my 2010 Seneca MS.
