Re: Garmin RV 660lmt Reply #1 – January 26, 2018, 02:29:46 pm Yahoo Message Number: 16438Yes I like it overall, especially in low cell phone reception areas. I did have to return it cuz of a reception problem. And this one blinks when first started, but still like it. The big screen is nice Quote Selected

One the best is over 22k campgrounds. Includes location, phone numbers and other info. You can put this info on most GPS's.http://www.poi-factory.com/If anyone needs help putting this on a Garmin. Please ask.BestRon Hall Quote Selected

Re: Garmin RV 660lmt Reply #6 – January 26, 2018, 06:30:19 pm Yahoo Message Number: 16444Did not take as long as I thought it would. I also put a PDF file in the file folder. How to install POI in a Garmin GPS1. You need to have the Garmin USB cable. Same one used to update a Garmin.2.Need to download the Garmin POI loader program to your computer. https://www.supercrvgroup.com/https://www.supercrvgroup.com/https://www.supercrvgroup.com/https://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-123.Follow the instructions to install the program.https://www.supercrvgroup.com/4. Go to POI Factory and download the POI files you want on your Garmin.https://www.supercrvgroup.com/5. I made a file folder called POI files to download the POI files too.https://www.supercrvgroup.com/6. Open the Garmin POI Loader program. Click NEXT. https://www.supercrvgroup.com/7. In the next window select Garmin Device. Then click NEXT.https://www.supercrvgroup.com/8. The program will look for your Garmin. Your Garmin GPS must be hooked to your computer with a USB cable.https://www.supercrvgroup.com/9. When the window shows up showing your GPS. Select it and click NEXT10. In the next screen there are 2 selection. If you have never loaded any POI to your Garmin. Select Install new custom POI's on your device.11. If you have Installed POI's before. Remove all previously installed custom POI's from your device.11a. This step is required to put the new POI's in your device. Not doing it may double up on the POI's stored on your Garmin.11b. You will get a message asking if you want to do this. Select yes. A new screen will come up. Select Finish.11c. You will need to restart POI loader program. Advance program to screen asking to install or remove. Select Install. Then Click on NEXT.12. In the next screen. You need to have the directory were you stored the POI Factory files saved. If you do not have that file displayed. Select Browse. Find the file folder that you stored them in. Click on that File Folder. It should show up in the window to left of Browse.13. If no name show up in choose a name put one in. I put in POIs14. Select Feet or Meters in next window down.15. Select Express in next window down. Then click on NEXT.16. A new screen will show up showing progress of install. When it is done a new window will show up. Click Finish.17. POI's are now loaded.18. You can now use these POI's.19. Remove USB cable.20. Turn on your GPS.21. When it gets to main screen. Select Where To?22. On the next screen (I have to move down one screen) to find EXTRAS. It looks like a gift box. Select it.23. You should see Custom POIs in next screen. Select it.24. You should see a list of all the POI's that you downloaded. Select one. The screen that shows up should have all the POI location with their distance from your current location..25. Selecting one will display a map with location marked on map.26. Selecting the map location will display all the info for that POI. Or you can select GO. This will give you directions to locations. Note: Some GPS's will require that a data/memory card be installed on the side of GPS. Both of mine have a 8GB card. They are cheap. And allow route and other info to be saved in your GPS.
