Warranty explanation

I posted this in the Class A forum on May 1, 2004.

It explains why warranty costs are much higher than reported. Nice to be able to go back on RV.net and dig out this stuff. It would be very interesting to be able to see what it costs for warranty for the value added by the manufacturer and the total cost by aggregating all of the costs incurred by the outside suppliers for chassis, engine, a/c, heatpumps, etc etc. Monaco costs could look higher but that is because it makes its own chassis for the DPs whereas the others buy them.
