I had a look under my 32SS this afternoon and it would appear that this problem is restricted to the 33DS. The reason would appear to be the location of the door. For the 32SS the door is at the front of the box and next to the muffler (so lots of open room there) whereas the 33DS door is farther back and it has two basement storage compartments in front of it with the forward compartment's inside wall being next to the muffler.

I get the feeling this could be design error and maybe we will find a run of issues like this that helped their decision to kill the Greyhawk on Kodiak.

We were doing the same thing :-) I went over to the storage place and
crawled up under mine to look around at that area. The closest hot thing
is the exhaust pipe and it's 15 inches towards the center of the
chassis. When I pulled in yesterday the front of the compartment did
feel hot when I touched it, but there isn't anything except the electric
steps on the other side and there's nothing up against it so I have to
assume the heat was from driving it in our 93 degree temps.

Take care,
Greg
