Sidewall separation on Dutchmen October 18, 2007, 10:12:42 pm Yahoo Message Number: 225Somewhere I read a post about another Dutchmen owner that had to have the sidewalls replaced because they were delaminating.I noticed today that on both sides, there are areas where a "seam" is bulging under the exterior lamination, both areas are near the roof line, and the "bulge" is vertical and appears to be where two sheets under the skin join together. Each bulge is about a foot in length. I can't remember who wrote the post, but I would like to find out if that was what he noticed on his coach as well.DennySee what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage. Quote Selected

My model year had a horizontal seamdown the side and it bulged, that was the first sign. Then it showed onthe inside with soft walls and eventually completely rotten. It wasbeyond warranty and Fleetwood blamed it on poor maintenance. Since I'mbeyond anal with my RV's I didn't buy it, but it was their word againstmine. I tore the walls out, laminated new ply to the inside of the fylonskin and reframed, insulated, and paneled. A HUGE job and not one Iwould try again.Take care, Greg Quote Selected
