Picture Help

Yahoo Message Number: 295
I still have not figured out why I can not see the pictures on this
group. I have tried everything I can think of. It might be
a "setting" I have missed, I don't know.

When someone includes pictures I get a little square box outlined in
black with the following message in each one:

Attachment(not stored)
DSCN3130.jpg
Type:
image/jpeg

Each picture has the same box, just a different number for each jpeg.

Any Ideas?

OK. I just found this in Yahoo Help. I figured this was going to be
the problem. I guess those of you that see the pictures get them
emailed to you...what a pain.

Arrggggg. I was certainly aware of that and next time it arises I'll simply look to see if the participant is getting the daily digest, no emails and accessing with web browser (neither get the photos as you pointed out) or individual emails. I guess Yahoo figures storing all such photos would be just too much. They have several groups with in excess of 250,000 members.

This is just a test to try posting a picture.

Yes, it works the way you are doing it. You are putting up a
 to a server that has your picture stored on it. It will
work that way. However the Yahoo "group" server itself will not
store pics. So, if people just include a picture in their post to
the group and it is not hosted somewhere, it will just appear in
the "email" that is sent to each member, IF they have the "email each
post" option activated. I might be wrong, but I think this is the
way it works.
