Removing dinette in Seneca November 25, 2007, 04:33:27 pm Yahoo Message Number: 324Miss Bette and I are noodling around the idea of removing the dinetteand putting in some sort of desk system, Or perhaps a combination offiling cabinets, a shelf on top for desk space, and maybe a small tableand two chairs... obviously, we don't want to overload the slideout.Has anyone out there removed the dinette, and short of just putting ina table and chairs, done anything like our idea? Appreciate photos, ofcourse!!!!JimBob and Miss Bette06 Seneca 34SS17485 miles.Currently at home in Greenwood, SC, leaving next week for Beaufort, SCthen Florida. Quote Selected
Re: Removing dinette in Seneca Reply #1 – November 28, 2007, 11:46:30 am Yahoo Message Number: 328We removed the couch from our GS. Just two of us. Did not need theuncomfortable thing. DW would not let me remove the dinette. She wantsthe storage and the fixed seats. Have already replaced fold down tablewith a oak pedestal table with a 12" extendable leaf.I did some measuring in our MH today. Opening for couch is 65".Opening for dinette is 72". That extra 7" would make it easier to get2 small recliner in the area and be able to use both of them at thesame time.Made a cabinet desk for the area where couch was. Attached are somephoto's I took of it.http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/ronjhall/PICT0015Medium.jpghttp://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d172/ronjhall/PICT0013Medium.jpg Quote Selected
