Baattery Access

Yahoo Message Number: 19
I had been having trouble accessing the battery under the vehicle on the curb side. I figured you had to remove the 4 Torx screws on the step.  Turns out that you remove two bolts on the tray and it slides out. So,  I blew $14 on a set of Torx screwdrivers for no good reason.

I wanted to be able to get the Battery Minder connections on the terminals so we could plug it in or alternatively put in a cutoff switch so we can kill it for six months in FLA.

The attached photo was provided on RV.net by Desert Diesel. The bolt location on the front side is shown with a red arrow. He said the bolts require a lot of effort to remove.

Note that the Duramax has two chassis batteries vs one for the Vortec.

Thanks DD.
