Brake warning light on

Yahoo Message Number: 14701
Started our 2007 Endura 6362 this morning and the brake light and chime are on. Brakes work fine, brake lights do not come on. Checked fuses and they all seem fine. Read something about a brake light switch, anyone know anything about this? Stuck in Wyoming on our way home!
Thanks for any help,
Troy Shearer

'Ive had mine go out. I keep a spare on board now. If I remember its located under the dash right on the brake pedal.

This is a common problem. Just about any auto store carriers the brake switch.

Yep had same problem. It was not the brake control switch (located behind brake pedal) Turns out it is control body module. Has to be repaired at a commercial truck dealer. Paul

That's the first I heard of it being the control modular. Most of us have repaired it with a switch.

Thanks for the info. I was able to disconnect the Brake Light Switch from the arm of the brake pedal, clean off connections and reconnect.
Problem solved. Once I made it to town I picked up a new switch to have when needed.
Thanks Again,
Troy Shearer
