2008 Big Foot Model 32ST September 07, 2008, 09:08:26 pm Yahoo Message Number: 1639Does anyone in the group own the Big Foot Model 32ST on the 22,000 upgraded chassis with the diesel? If so, do you like it? I found one in the Denver area today and will be test driving it tomorrow. I am really impressed with the quality of the design and the workmanship...Denny Quote Selected

They are pricey however. I get thefeeling that the dealers know they've got a good thing and thereforeare not too anxious to negotiate much.Bill Quote Selected

Re: 2008 Big Foot Model 32ST Reply #3 – September 08, 2008, 04:01:44 pm Yahoo Message Number: 1645Denny, We own a 2007 32ST Diesel, on the upgraded chassis, (the chassisupgradeincreases the tires to the next size also.)Purchased it in May of '07, we have put just over 10,000 miles on it.Did some shopping around, RV Brokers Sacramento, Ca. an Arizonaplace, and Adventure RV in Orange Co. Ca.Bought it from Big Sky RV in Montana. It was the best price even withthe airfare. We live in Moorpark, Ca. (Ventura County).Overall we have been happy with it.A few problems with systems, not unlike most everyone. From the Bigfoot owners site, there were recommendations on upgradedhandlingcomponents. Similar to what others have done for the other ones onKodiakchassis.I thought it drove ok before the improvements but with the upgrades, in myopinion, it does handle better. Front and rear trac bars, front swaybar.Others, are changing out shocks and upgrading the rear swaybar, andadding asteering stabilizer. We tow a couple different things behind it, 19' boat, jeep on atrailer, andjeep flat towed, depending on the trip.It would be nice to be able to jump back and forth between one withupgrades anda stock one to really compare.Jeff Quote Selected

Your comments seem to be confined to the Kodiakchassis which is what I would have expected and certainly in line withother discussions of Kodiak chassis upgrades. Can you offer any commentary regarding the build quality and amenitiesof the motorhome itself? My relatively uneducated opinion is thatBigfoot does a better overall job of putting the motorhome togetherthan all the other (production) brands most of us are aware of.Thanks, Bill Quote Selected
Re: 2008 Big Foot Model 32ST Reply #5 – September 08, 2008, 11:21:29 pm Yahoo Message Number: 1649Overall I would say the build quality is good.We had looked at the Four Winds, Gulfstreams, Born Free, and someclass A rigs. The Bigfoot fit our requirements for towing capacity, length of rig, floorplan, in a super C.We were able to join the Bigfoot owners website as a guest, to readwhat owners were saying. Most owners are fairly happy. But, there are issues with all the rigs, Class C, campers, trailers.Sometimes you only hear about the problems and not all the goodthings.I have quite a few friends with different manufacturers rigs. MostlyClass A.They all have had issues. We had an issue with the inner dual tires rubbing on the inside ofthe fender well. Bigfoot issue.Fixed under warranty, at a local shop that I was able to pick.HGH leveling system has never worked quite right. Was worked on underwarranty, but the auto leveling system is still not right. Probablynot attributed to Bigfoot.Generator electric power cable for starting came loose. Not Bigfoot. Some of the outside cabinet doors are having minor hinge problems.Bigfoot issue.Rear view monitor quit. Out of warranty. Replaced with upgraded unit, $100 from Mobile Optics, that I installed. Not Bigfoot.Air leak in rear airbag system. fixed under warranty. Bigfoot.I think that's it.Except, when we turned on the air conditioning to check it during ourcheck out, all the vents blew out the bits of insullation and littlepieces of wood. All that said, I would buy it again. All the many other things areworking good.Jeff Quote Selected
