More questions on improving ground clearance

I have pretty much decided to get either the Ride Rite or Airlift bags
after this "season." I don't have air brakes, so I will need to
install a compressor/air reservoir.

That seems to be the best way to get some extra height in the rear. I
am not sure how much, but I need to do something. I will also look
into welding a wheel on bottom of the trailer hitch, after just
digging a deep groove in a street with the little triangle piece on
the bottom of the hitch.

I was also thinking of modifying the generator exhaust. Currently it
is about 4" below the body and drags occasionally. I was thinking of
changing it so it only hangs an inch or two below the body, so it is
less likely to drag. Do any of you think this would be a problem? I
haven't checked, but I wouldn't think it gets hot enough to damage the
RV if there is at least an inch of clearance?

Dont think it should be a problem the generator exhaust on mine is only about 2 inches down no marking showing on side from heat so far.

1" clearance with a gas generator may be a problem. They get fairly
hot. The generator exhaust on my MH originally came out the side under
the rear slide. Not good. Rerouted it out the rear. Closes it comes to
anything is 2" where it exits rear of MH. So far no damage to the rear
panel of MH. The diesel generator that I have does not get as hot a a
gas model. Here is a picture of the pipe.

I can't tell from the picture...does it just extend out the rear under
the bumper?

I have thought of moving the pipe back and having it come out more or
less at the driver's side rear corner, figuring that should protect it
a bit.

I took it in for alignment yesterday and in the process of going up
and down the shop's driveway, the exhaust hanger was damaged to the
point some retainer clip or something fell off. I need to get the
thing moved somewhere before it falls off.

Here is another picture. Mud flap is attached to bottom of hitch.
Exhaust comes out above lowest point of hitch. Here is another
picture. I need to get some paint on the muffler clamps and hangers.

Thanks, that is a lot clearer to me. I suppose I could try something
similar but need to be sure it is above the part of the hitch that drags.
