stearing.

Yahoo Message Number: 4691
does anyone know if there's a way to tighten up the stearing on the Kodiak? Mine's got about 5 degrees of play in the wheel and while it isn't a safety issue, it does increase driver fatigue.
Thanks

I do not see anything in my service manual on steering linkage adjustments for play. Have you had the alignment checked.

I had mine in the shop for alignment not too long ago. Apparently, and that was true for mine previous ford 450 chassis as well, these trucks have some give, some more than others. The shop placed bushings and worked fine. My ford 450 was really bad and it was fixed this way, the kodiak was not too bad but it got better as matter of fact even handling got better.

Maybe would want to try that first.
thanks
Mo

No, I haven't, and I also see where someone else (Mo) suggested replaceing the bushings. So I'll give that a shot. Thanks all.
