Forgive me if these questions are repetitive. 1] Besides Bornfree,
does anyone else make a Kodiak class c without slides? 2} Did
Navistar finally buy the Kodiak chassis from GM? 3} What is the
Kodiak ride like with leaf springs in the front and rear ? 4} How is
the Chevy 8.1L engine holding up? Thanks for your input. Mchlfnd.

1. Not that I'm aware of. I looked over the Bornfree models and others at the Tampa show last week. Did not see anything else with no slides. We found the BF a bit constrained inside because of the lack of slides. Also noted that storage space was considerably less than our 07 Greyhawk 32SS (no longer made).

2. No, GM and Nav could not reach a deal acceptable to both.

3. Mixed. Some models have been a bit too heavy for the stock suspension and some owners have added air bags or helper springs.

4. Ours 8.1 is fine after 7500 miles. Using about a quart of oil over 5,000 miles (one year for us). It is not great on fuel consumption when loaded and towing at 60 to 65 - 7.6 MPG. When not towing and speed is 55 with no headwinds it will jump to 8.8.

I'm sure you will get a few more comments over the next day or two.
