The connections under red cover is a terminal point. You are charging chassis batteries when you hook up + cable to either stud under the cover. Find a body bolt/stud to connect black - cable from charger. On a motorhome the body/frame is negative side of batteries.

I use the lower stud under the red cover for the positive and there is a body bolt about a foot toward the back of the coach just behind where the removable inner fender ends that I use for the ground to charge the chassis battery. I charge the house batteries directly after opening the first access door behind the drivers door.
