Jayco 33DS Slideout LPG Supply

Yahoo Message Number: 580
I Think the 33DS model is the only Jayco design having the fridge in the slideout. The sliding electrical wiring & LPG supply is simple & functional. I think however that something differed between the engineering specs/drawings & final assembly on my coach. I posted 3 pictures (and included links below) of the setup of the sliding electrical & LPG supply mechanism on my coach.
I'd greatly appreciate it if any adventureous 33DS owners out there would check the setup on their coach & let me know how yours was done. Note that some of this may only be visible with the slideout retracted. I'm particularly interested to know the following:
(1) If the 90deg brass LPG fitting at the end of the sliding LPG conduit is oriented up or down. Mine is oriented up which causes the rubber LPG flex hose to loop up and ride against the bottom of the coach floor. I'm thinking that it should be pointing down.
(2) If the brass fitting at the end of the sliding LPG conduit is pushed against the adjacent sliding electrical conduit. (Mine is pushed so hard that it causes a visible bowing in the adjacent conduit.)
Thanks, Bill

I checked my 33Ds after reading and reviewing your pictures, we here are still in the cold of winter so I did not linger. I viewed the slide extented then I closed the slide. All three conduits: two electrical and one LPG. My LPG copper tubing, is placed inside the electrical conduit with two brass LPG fittings at each end two electrical clamps snugged up against the copper tubing to keep the tubing from moving inside the conduit. Neither ends of my tubing are bent/kinked.
Now this is what I saw in answer to your questions. 1. The 90 deg. brass fitting is connected to the black hosing in the down position my hosing makes no contact w/the flooring above.
2. The tubing and the brass fitting just under the refrigerator are not jammed against anything on the slide wall .
Note the following: 1. All three conduits are loosely suspended by aluminum 90 deg. brackets w/black plastic rings around conduits, but groove connected to the brackets. The design allows the conduit to freely slide in and out w/the camper slide. Is it possible your conduit somehow hung-up, and was pushed wrongly into the position pictured? Are all of your black rings in place?
There is a lot of movement in that system/design that looks as if I need to montior it closely for potential problems. There may be a way to fasten down parts w/out interferring in the sliding, but providng better support.
Thank, John

Hello John,

Thank you so much for the reply and detailed info on your 33DS. Very
much appreciated!

Your answer is pretty much what I expected to be the correct
configuration but I'm glad to get confirmation. As you speculated, the
LPG line somehow got jammed up when the slide was being closed. The
plastic ring grommet appears to be intact and I can't see any obvious
other places that it bind up.

Now that you've given me confirmation of the correct configuration I'll
feel better about taking it back to the dealer and showing them what
needs to be done.

Thanks again,

Bill

Man, isn't this "Al Gore founded" Internet something. (grin) You can
get information that 10 or 15 years ago would have taken you weeks or
months to find.

Hmmm... you reckon he had anything to do with the design/building of some of these motorhomes too? :-? Well that's about as political as I'd better get.
I don't think some folks can appreciate what a God-send all this ready information flow is. It's really very powerful. Waaaay back in 1993 we bought a new motorhome and spent a year of hell in a complete information vacuum as we fought our way through getting problem after problem fixed (and re-fixed). That was back before Al's internet really took hold in the RV marketplace. After that experience we SWORE WE'D NEVER BUY ANOTHER NEW MOTORHOME... Ha!! So 14 years later, we rolled the dice again back in December. This time though we had some idea of what to expect from the industry and most importantly... we have these wonderful forums to help us through the process. Thanks again Don et al.

Actually, that Snopes explanation is a contradiction. It says False,
yet prints his quote where he claims he took the initiative in
creating the internet.

I've often wondered how Al got lampooned on this issue. I think
Snopes has a pretty good write up on it.

The problem as snopes points out is that too many people just don't understand what Gore said. Here some comments on this issue that certainly remove any doubt in my mind:
