Electrical delima ???????? August 08, 2013, 08:46:43 pm Yahoo Message Number: 116922007 diesel----Equiped with a WOLO twin trumpet air horn mounted behind the front bumper. Suddenly, the air compressor started making a grinding sound when the horn was blown but no sound coming from the horns. While waiting on a new comperssor to arrive, the light would not go off indicating the parking brake was still applied, the cruise would not work and the electric seats would not function.Sure that a fuse was blown but after checking every fuse that could be located, no blown fuses were located.Unpluged the wires from the compressor and everything worked as intended. We were going on a 4 day trip and needed a horn, borrowed a regular horn from an S-10. Plugged it up and everything worked fine.Returned from the trip and unloaded. This afternoon moved to our parking garage and the same gremlin appeared. However, this time the regular horn blows but the parking brake light, cruise and seat are not working. Quickly glanced at the fuses but can't find one blown.Guess take a longer look this weekend but to say the least it is strange.Anyone have any ideas? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?Thanks, Don Quote Selected

Re: Electrical delima ???????? Reply #6 – August 09, 2013, 11:20:06 pm Yahoo Message Number: 11701Did it all start at the same time or are these thing you have noticed right along? Looking at the schematics I don't see nothing those circuits have in common. As for the red dash brake light, it could also mean your brake fluid reservoir is low; might want to check that. Several things could be causing the cruise control not to work. As for as the power seat goes, the factory manuals has zilch in regards to electrical power seats, they only have air suspension type power seats. Quote Selected

Re: Electrical delima ???????? Reply #11 – August 11, 2013, 01:05:31 pm Yahoo Message Number: 11709It acts like the positive side of the horn circuit is shorted and drawing power from the other circuits when it grounds through the horn. Test for voltage at the horn wire (horn disconnected) and then disconnect fuses unplug and wiggle test things until the voltage disappears. Start with anything that has been worked on or modified previously. It probably is low amperage or the horn would be on all the time.Dan Quote Selected
